professional moving company in Paradise Valley

Dotted with mountains with jaw-dropping views, this urban village isn’t called Paradise for no reason. The natural scenery is an environmental feat, but that’s not the only pro of living here. With the newly upgraded Phoneix Metro Area freeway, upcoming housing development, successful businesses sprouting, renowned schools and incredible dining options, Paradise Valley is a heaven on earth. If you’re looking to move here, read on as we list out everything you’ll need to know before making your decision.

The average price for a house here is around $256,000 USD, compared to the median US home price of $315,000 USD. The average rent for a house per month is around $1280 USD, which is comparative to the US average of $1,231 USD per month. Generally in Phoenix, housing is 6% cheaper than the average cost in America.

Within Arizona itself, housing is made up of a variety of home types, so it can be confusing when deciding on what home type suits your needs at an affordable price. Listed here are some of the different types of homes you may find: condominiums or flats, single-family residences, townhomes or townhouses, manufactured or modular homes, patio homes, Gemini or twin homes, and lofts.

Single-family residences are homes that have been detached with a front and back garden or a yard, and an attached garage or carport. On the other hand, townhomes or townhouses are properties that share a building with other units or a ‘terraced house’ as it is called in the UK. Manufactured or modular homes are buildings which have been constructed in a factory and installed on the site of the home, and are less expensive than single-family residences. Patio homes share at least one sidewall with another patio home. They usually have a back patio, and each building may contain more than one home. A Gemini or twin home is a building that has two units in it and is the US counterpart of semi-detached houses in the UK. Lastly, lofts are a type of apartment building which originated from old warehouses that were converted into condominiums and often include a staircase within the small space.

There are a total of 126 schools in Paradise Valley. 86 of these schools are private schools, and the rest are public.

With Phoenix being a 20-minute drive away, Paradise Valley isn’t hard to travel from — the freeway and interstate systems connect Paradise Valley to the rest of the Grand Canyon State. The town has a population of more than 14,000 people, which makes it the 38th largest town in Arizona. The philosophy of the residents? To retain a residential community in a calm and country-like setting without too much government intervention— it has its own city council-appointed committee which maintains the balance between the identity and origin of the town with necessary development. For those who have had enough of congested roads and polluted cities, this town is a breath of fresh air.

Not to mention, the town is packed with historical sites and artifacts. Several historic homes reflect the town’s humble beginnings; though the town originated in the 1800s, it was officially incorporated in 1961. Now, the town is speckled with luxury golf courses, theatres, raceways, and stadiums.

The magnificent mountainous peaks and picturesque trails are some of the most sought after views in Arizona. Camelback Mountain is one example — sandwiched between Paradise Valley and Arcadia, this mountain has trails that are frequented by more than 30,000 visitors each year; just imagine waking up to such a marvelous scenic view. We’d recommend not dropping by in the afternoon as the heat can get quite unbearable. Instead, try the Cholla Trail before sunrise, and you’ll hit Camelback peak as the striking morning sun makes its first appearance. There have been a few uncommon circumstances of hikers wandering off the trail, so just remember to keep yourself on the trail markers and be aware of the terrain.

You can also check out the Mohave trail, or Mummy mountain to get a great wilderness experience. Rock climbing is also an incredibly popular sport in the area, so get your gear on and bulldoze your way up the cliffs. The rock formations here are like no other; you can’t find them anywhere else in America, and the view is one-of-a-kind as well. If strenuous physical activity isn’t your thing, the Sanctuary Camelback Resort and Spa is a luxury resort that won the TripAdvisor 2018 Traveler’s Choice award. Located on the north face of the mountain, the resort is famed for its Hydrafacial and other relaxing spa treatments.
